I thought trying a smaller piece would be a good challenge and it would teach me some things. It didn’t allow for as much collage as I am used to on the larger pieces, so it is slimmed down in that sense. It was very delicate to paint and draw, but I am pleased with the result. It has a nice mash-up of good/bad, tension/rest. The yellow slashes at the top were last thoughts with a palette knife. Still uncertain about the yellow/orange sea… I may find some galkyd in one of the waves… something shiny.
